The Greeley Stampede
The Greeley Stampede dates back to the 1800's and has a very long and rich tradition. This is Greeley Colorado's largest community celebration and was started to honor local potato farmers. The Stampede has since grown into an internationally famous festival attracting close to 450,000 people annually from all parts of the United States and several foreign countries.

The Greeley Colorado Stampede and  festival spans  two weekends and features Pro Rodeo, Bull-Riding and Kids Rodeos, Country and Classic Rock Concerts, Demolition Derby, televised 4th of July Parade, Carnival Midway, Western Art Show, Free Stage Entertainment, and loads of festival grounds activities, mixed with food and fun galore. The stampede is a real celebration of western hospitality, just like the old west.

Every year the Greeley Stampede and it's many hundreds of volunteers and committee members raise thousands of dollars as a non-profit corporation. The Stampede concentrates on the support of education and young people in it's endeavors.

The Stampede Foundation, a 501-(c)3 non-profit, supports education in Northern Colorado. Since the inception of this program, the Stampede has given more than $147,100 in scholarships to Weld and Larimer county high school graduates. The Stampede Foundation also provides scholarships to young individuals who win various competitions during the Greeley Stampede upon proof of graduation from High School. Fifty-seven graduating high school seniors were awarded over $17,000 in scholarships lin 2007.

In 2008 the Greeley Stampede raised over $50,00  or the non-profit organization supporting education in northern Colorado. The Greeley Colorado Stampede Committees and volunteers thanks everyone for being a part of the World’s Largest 4th of July Rodeo & Western Celebration!
